Equipment
Visucam (Fundus):
A camera that provides the doctor with a photograph of the optic nerve, macula, retina and blood vessels. This is used to help diagnose and treat many eye diseases.
HFA (Humphrey Field Analyzer):
An automated perimeter that allows the doctor to measure your peripheral vision. This instrument is important in the treatment of diseases such as glaucoma as well as strokes and brain tumors.
OCT:
A light scanning instrument that analyzes the retina and other areas of the eye. This enables the doctor to detect early subtle changes in conditions such as macular degeneration, glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy. Early detection will lead to better visual outcomes.
Topography:

Auto Refractor:
Provides a computerized measurement of the eye allowing the doctor to detect myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism. It also performs keratometry which is essential to successful contact lens fittings.
Tonometer:
An instrument which measures the intaocular pressure without contacting the eye. It is used as a screening device for glaucoma.
